Toccata and Fugue in D Minor BWV 565 by Johann-Sebastian Bach
This powerful work is especially appropriate to illustrate the similarities between the bayan and the organ for which it was composed. Indeed, the brilliant colours of the bayan registers (of which there are 15) contribute to the striking similarity in the sound of the two instruments.

Hungarian Dance N° 5 by Johannes Brahms (Transcription by I. Yachkevitch)
This remarkable transcription for the bayan by I. Yachkevitch of Brahms' Hungarian Dance N° 5 highlights the virtuosity of both the instrument and the musician.

Finale of the Violin Concerto in D Major Opus 35 by Piotr I.Tchaikovsky
This "Finale : Allegro vivacissimo" is interpreted here on the basis of one instrument, one performer. The right hand plays all of the violin score with a sprinkling now and then of accompaniment. The left hand essentially plays the orchestra scores though it also at times underscores the violin part.

The technical potential of the bayan makes it possible to maintain the character of the violin without sacrificing any of the brilliance of the orchestral score.

" Adios nonino ", " El penultimo ", " Fracanapa " by Astor Piazzolla
Every one of these compositions is a concert masterpiece. The bayan is the perfect instrument to capture the full range of resonances intended by the composer.

La valse à Margaux by Richard Galliano
This celebrated contemporary accordion composer's work and formal research in jazz relies fully on the wealth of possibilities afforded by the accordion and consequently also by the bayan.

Musical Frolic on a Russian Theme by Victor Gridin
This composer, performer and conductor has produced a number of transcriptions inspired by Russian popular tradition. He has conducted his own folk orchestra. His transcriptions for the bayan are easy to listen to in spite of the complexity of it's musical performance.

Montréal Suite by Vladimir Sidorov
· 1st movement Jazz Summer
· 3rd movement Blue Snow Flakes
The Montréal Suite is the artistic imprint of the composer's encounter with the remarkable city of Montréal.
