In this new opus, Vladimir Sidorovrevisits the works of the great masters. His "Boîte à Musique", includes a Chopin Waltzand a Nocturne in C# minor, the 2nd movement ofJoaquim Rodrigo's Concierto de Aranjuez, the theme from Schindler's Listby John Williams, Alessandro Marcello's Oboe Concerto in D minor, Astor Piazzolla's Oblivion, Anatoli Liadov's Music Snuffbox, Vittorio Monti's Czardas, Victor Gridin's Rassipuha, and Vladimir Sidorov's own Trinité and Berceuse.
Recorded by Luc Papineau at Radio Canada's Studio 12, under the artistic direction of Jacques Gagné (Tout Crin Records), this album is a very true reflection of the sensitivity of this great artist. VladimirSidorovhas a gift for really plunging us into the atmosphere of the works he interprets and it is rather amazing to see that so many of them sound like they were actually written for the bayan.
